Who are Austin’s opponents?
Austin’s final game of the regular season sees them travel to take on Salt Lake.
Madi’s team will hope to maintain their commendable record against the side from Utah, who they have beaten twice and lost to once this season.
It was Salt Lake who claimed the upper hand after a Gameweek 4 triumph in Atlanta (3-2), but Austin won their LOVB Classic encounter 3-1, then beat Tama Miyashiro’s unit 3-1 in late February.
Where is the game being played?
The last Weekend with LOVB of 2025 is being held in Salt Lake, at the Bruin Arena.
A 3,000-seat state-of-the-art facility, the Taylorsville-based venue is home to the Salt Lake Community College Bruins — as well as the city’s LOVB Pro volleyball team, of course.
The building also houses classrooms and meeting rooms, six racquetball courts, a dance studio and a weights room.
What time does the action get underway?
Austin’s match against Salt Lake gets started at 7pm MDT tonight.
It’s their opponents’ second game of the weekend, following their encounter with Madison on Friday evening.
There’s also one more game taking place today, with Houston playing Madison at 4.30pm MDT.
Opposition guide
Salt Lake went into this weekend’s double-header sitting fourth in the standings, following an inconsistent run of form.
Two victories against Omaha (3-1 and 3-2, respectively) sandwiched consecutive losses against Atlanta (2-3) and Madison (2-3) during Gameweeks 10 and 11.
Outside Hitter Roni Jones-Perry has starred for Miyashiro’s team this year, while Jordyn Poulter continues to rack up the assists.
Watch out for Libero Manami Kojima, too, who is among the division’s leading players when it comes to pass efficiency.
Anything else to know?
Having reached the 205 point mark in Gameweek 12, Madi will want to boost her personal tally further before the regular season concludes.
She’ll also be keen to see Austin return to form ahead of the LOVB Finals, after a trio of losses to Atlanta (0-3), Omaha (2-3) and Madison (2-3).
The latter two of those defeats were by a particularly narrow margin, though, so the Texans will feel they aren’t too far away from getting back to winning ways.
A victory over Salt Lake would be the perfect boost, before Chris McGown’s side head to Louisville later this month.
