Austin’s Gameweek 13 visit to Salt Lake brought the curtain down on the 2025 regular season, but things are about to heat up when the LOVB Finals get underway.
The league’s inaugural showpiece is set to take place from 10th-13th April at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY — and there is plenty at stake for all the teams involved.
Every LOVB Pro side is in with a chance of being crowned this year’s champions, but the difficulty of their route to the trophy is determined by the competition’s seeding system.
Teams that finished the regular season from 3rd-6th place need to navigate a quarter-final match on Thursday, with the top two seeds advancing straight to the semi-finals.
Looking first at the quarter-finals, third plays sixth and fourth plays fifth, to give a potential advantage to sides that finished higher up the table.
So what does that mean for LOVB Austin? Well, the Texans ended the campaign in fifth place, so they’ll face fourth seeds Salt Lake in a rematch of last weekend’s encounter.
That game is set to take place at 4.30pm EDT on Thursday 10th April, followed by the second quarter-final — Omaha vs Madison — at 7pm EDT.
If Austin progress past Tama Miyashiro’s unit then a tough challenge will await in the semi-finals, with top seeds Atlanta their potential opponents on Friday 11th April at 6.30pm EDT.
Houston, who finished the regular season in second, then face the winner of Omaha’s meeting with Madison later that day (9.30pm EDT).
The sides that make it all the way to the final can enjoy a day’s rest on Saturday, before they head onto the court for Sunday’s season decider at 4pm EDT.
Madi’s team will be hoping they can be the ones to win the league’s first-ever LOVB Finals, of course, and get their hands on an eye-catching piece of silverware.
The LOVB Championship Trophy has been produced by Tiffany & Co, is made of sterling silver and stands at around 21 inches tall with a weight of approximately 13 pounds.
Its base features the logos of the league’s six current teams and will be engraved with the names of the winning side and players.
Will Madi’s name end up being carved onto the trophy? We’ll find out when the LOVB Finals get started tomorrow.
