Madi is returning to LOVB Austin for the 2026 campaign — and she’ll be joined by a brand-new team of coaches when next season gets underway.
The United States international enjoyed a triumphant first year of professional volleyball, having lifted the inaugural LOVB Championship Trophy while being named the LOVB Finals MVP back in April.
She will be looking to replicate that success next term, with the help of a revamped coaching team at the Texas-based outfit.
Madi will already be familiar with new Head Coach Erik Sullivan, of course, having played under with the U.S. Women’s National Team boss throughout the summer.
He also previously coached at the Texas Longhorns, and has built a reputation for developing players and building first-class defensive systems.
Sullivan is set to be joined by Assistant Coach Tayyiba Haneef-Park, who worked with him in the same role for the USA earlier this year.
A two-time Olympic silver medallist at Beijing 2008 and London 2012, Haneef-Park certainly adds impressive experience and international pedigree into the mix.
Shannon Slatter may be a more familiar name to LOVB Austin fans. The team’s new Director of Volleyball Operations has been promoted ahead of the 2026 season, having already been part of the organization last season.
She worked with the national team at the 2025 FIVB World Championship in Thailand, so there is sure to be plenty of synergy right across the coaching staff over the coming months.
That extends to new Technical Director Virginia Pham, too, who recently operated as a Performance Analyst for the United States.
However, she also has more than a decade’s worth of experience across everything from operations to scouting, including serving as Technical Coordinator for USC’s men’s and women’s volleyball programs from 2020 to 2025.
And there is set to be one further addition to the coaching staff at a later date, with all LOVB Pro teams allowed to add a second assistant coach for the 2026 season.
